Journalism is its own kind of art. It paints a picture with words and speaks to people directly or indirectly. Journalism can be defined as a hobby or profession where information is spread through writing or spoken word. I believe journalism is a craft where people project their findings, opinions or facts to an audience that will listen. If a person can find a topic and people who are interested in that topic, they can create a journalism piece. Some may want to hear about what is happening in the world, or what celebrities are afraid of or about the upcoming college basketball season. In an article on Buzzfeed, it discusses the book A Wrinkle in Time being made in to a movie and how fantastic the cast is. It states that Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and Oprah are staring in a movie and shows pictures of their tweets talking about the movie. Along with the pictures it has gifs that show expressions people may be having about this information. It is concise and to the point with amusing commentary. I completely believe this represents my definition of journalism because is grabs attention while presenting information that someone may be intrigued by. Anything can be turned in to journalism, it just takes a person that is passionate about something.
